Quilting for Spring

Magnolias

Größe: 25,5 x 25,5 cm
March 2007
machinepieced and machinequilted

Magnolias always belonged to my best liked trees.

The flowerage at the end of winter is simply beautiful.

The pattern for this quilt is available in my patternshop.

Once upon a time...

October 2003
size: 32 x 32 inch
machinepieced and machinequilted

The quilt is embroidered  with many silk ribbon roses, see some details here:

I think roses and fairytale-castles belong together!

Birdhouses

January 2004
size:  42,5 x 42,5 inch
machinepieced, appliqued, machinequilted

I get the birdhouses from a swap.

I appliquéd many details in this quilt using buttonhole-stich.

See details of the embroiderey here:

Springtree

size: 16,5 x 16,5 inch
March 2002
machinepieced, handembroidery, machinequilted

Past the first sunny days that year I was looking forward to spring, fresh colors and blooming trees.

So this little quilt was born!

 Springflowers

size: 22 1/2" x 25 1/2"

After the christmas-decorations have vanished in the cellar, these colorful flowers come to the wall as a foretaste for spring.

Colorful Scrapquilt

size: 68" x 84"

Here I've used finally all those fabrics I have never used before (either I didn't like them or I love them but they never fitted into my projects).

I sewed this quilt while springtime and so I used no dark fabrics.
